Beef Tostada

I love Taco Tuesdays, but sometimes the traditional taco gets boring. Let me introduce you to the Tostada, the open-faced taco.
The great thing about this recipe is that it’s so versatile. You can use any ground meat you’d like or leave it out if you’re vegetarian.

Beef Tostadas
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef, Chicken, or Turkey
- 1 packet Low Sodium Taco Seasoning
- 1 can Refried Beans
- 8 Corn Tostadas
- 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
Toppings (suggested)
- Olives
- Lettuce shredded
- Tomatoes
- Avocados
- Salsa
- Taco Sauce
- Salsa
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º F
- In a skillet add your choice of ground meat and taco seasoning. Brown meat. Once browned, remove from heat.
- On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place 8 tostadas. Spread refried beans on each tostada. Then add the meat and sprinkle with cheese. Place in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Once out of the oven top with your favorite toppings. Serve with Mexican rice. Enjoy!
